Membership Terms

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Your membership pays for our coordination service, not for the work itself. Every job is quoted separately and only happens once you approve it.

1. What your membership includes

For $99.99 per month, The House Manager provides:

  • A dedicated project manager for your home
  • Unlimited requests: tell us what you need, as often as you need it
  • Gathering quotes from vetted local vendors and sending them to you for approval
  • Scheduling approved work and keeping it on track
  • Follow-up with vendors until the job is complete
  • Unlimited vendor management through the quote and scheduling process
  • Priority scheduling as a preferred client of our vendors
  • Member pricing with participating vendors, where available

2. What your membership does not include

The membership fee does not pay for any labor, materials, or services performed at your home. This applies equally to maintenance, repairs, and improvements. All vendor work is quoted and billed separately.

Not included:

  • Vendor labor, parts, and materials, including home inspections and maintenance services
  • On-site project management, which is quoted with the project when needed
  • Handyman time, which is available on demand and billed hourly
  • Concierge time, billed hourly
  • Vendor assessment or diagnostic fees, which we disclose before you approve them
  • Permits, disposal fees, or equipment rentals a job requires

3. How jobs are quoted, approved, and billed

  1. You submit a request.
  2. We gather quotes and send them to you. Quoted prices include The House Manager’s coordination and management fee.
  3. No work is scheduled or billed until you approve a quote.
  4. Once you approve, you share your availability and we book the work.
  5. Completed jobs are invoiced separately from your membership through our job management system, Jobber. Payment is due per the terms on the invoice.

If the scope changes during a job, we will get your approval before any additional charges.

4. Independent vendors

Vendors are independent businesses, not employees or agents of The House Manager. We vet vendors and coordinate projects, but each vendor is responsible for its own work, licensing, insurance, and warranties.

Any warranty on a job comes from the vendor who performed it. If there is a problem with completed work, we will contact the vendor and follow up on your behalf until it is addressed.

5. Billing, cancellation, and changes

  • Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract.
  • Your card is charged $99.99 automatically each month on your signup date.
  • You may cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month. Partial months are not refunded.
  • Jobs approved before cancellation are still billed when completed.
  • We will give at least 30 days’ notice before changing the membership price or these terms.

6. Other terms

  • Access to your home: You are responsible for providing safe access and for securing pets and valuables during visits.
  • Emergencies: Priority scheduling depends on vendor availability. For life-safety emergencies, call 911 first.
  • Limitation of liability: The House Manager’s liability is limited to the membership fees paid in the three months before a claim.
  • Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
